When I look at people or the items they’ve treasured, my imagination goes to the story each is telling. I hear a master story-teller introducing a character, progressively unfolding the tale, guiding my imagination to give life to the story.
In my visual art, I look for these stories. Each piece starts with a photograph that I've made, a moment frozen in time, then I allow the image to tell its tale. Often, using alternative print processes and encaustic wax techniques allows me to build the story in more depth.
