I grew up in small-town USA, a time and place where stories were the heart of the community, thus story-telling became a life-long inspiration for my art. After spending years behind a camera, I began combining my images with encaustic wax, adding luminance and textures. This more deliberate process allows me explore themes with more depth, and now I work primarily in series to focus on developing narrative. My dancer work narrates the story of dance movement, flow, and passion, while other work narrates stories centered on our shared human experience.
